Chippewa Nature Center
Description :
Founded in 1966, Chippewa Nature Center is a non-profit environmental education organization, open year-round with FREE daily admission. Its 1,500 acres is comprised of woodlands, wetlands, fields and rivers with 19 miles of trails to explore dawn-to-dark daily. Facilities include a state-of-the art Visitor Center and reconstructed 1870s Homestead Farm, complete with log cabin, barns and outbuildings, log schoolhouse and maple sugarhouse. CNC offer Nature Preschool for 3- and 4-year olds, and Nature Day Camp for ages 3-16. A variety of programs are offered throughout the year for all ages, including story hours, guided hikes, Homestead Sundays and many field trips including kayaking, birding, snowshoeing and more.
