Claytor Nature Center
Description :
The Claytor Nature Center is a 491-acre conserved property of the University of Lynchburg, located in Bedford, VA. With the main missions of science education and environmental stewardship, we offer meaningful connections to people and the planet. There are almost 8 miles of hiking trails, the Big Otter River, a campground, natural play area Otter Space, picnic pavilion, and beautiful gardens. We offer overnight lodging in the EcoLodge and Cloverlea Farmhouse, as well as special event rentals and weddings. Also on the property is the Belk Astronomical Observatory. There is an entry fee of $10 per carload. $5 per carload for 65+, veterans, University of Lynchburg alumni. Free for UL staff, faculty and students. Members get in free.
