John James Audubon State Park is located in Henderson, in western Kentucky, and has a museum, gift shop, nature center, cabins, campground and conference center. One of the most valuable books in the world, Birds of America, is on display at John James Audubon State Park and once a month a page gets turned in the open volume currently on display. Five 1-bedroom cottages & 1 ADA-accessible 2-bedroom cottage are available with tableware, cooking utensils and linens provided. The park's campground has a central service building housing showers and restrooms. Picnic tables, grills and a playground are also available in the camping area. Pets are allowed, if restrained. A nine hole golf course located within the state park.
