This is a Civilian Conservation Corp park that was built in the 1930's as part of Roosevelt's "New Deal" program. This park offers over 50 miles of trails that run throughout the park including 30+ miles of trails that can be used by equestrian riders. 115 site campground with 30 amp service and water. 15 site primitive equestrian campground with paddocks. The park also has a 19th century Yeoman living history farm that details how life was like in the backcountry of South Carolina in the 19th century. Come Out and Play at Kings Mountain State Park.
