Land Trust of North Alabama: Three Caves

Description :

Three Caves is a former limestone quarry located within Land Trust of North Alabama's Monte Sano Nature Preserve. Cave tours are not available and Three Caves is closed to the public due to safety concerns resulting from falling rock inside the former mine. However, Three Caves Loop Trail circles the perimeter of the mine offering hikers a view down below and the parking area serves as a trailhead for the Monte Sano Nature Preserve trail system. The name comes from the three large mine openings.
