North Cascades Institute is an education nonprofit that seeks to inspire environmental stewardship through transformative learning experiences, including place-based environmental education, outdoor recreation, health and wellness, conservation, environmental justice and community engagement. Since 1986, we've helped connect people of all ages and backgrounds with nature and community through science, art, literature and hands-on study of the mountains, rivers, forests, and human communities of the North Cascades. From the North Cascades to the Skagit & Methow Valleys to the Salish Sea, we offer exciting ways for you to connect with this unique region so that we are all inspired to protect it.
