The Vera Meineke Nature Center at Spring Valley is an earth-sheltered, passive-solar natural history museum and visitor center. The Nature Center also provides information on programs and events, program registration, and a gift shop. Winter Hours (Nov. 1-March 31): Spring Valley grounds and trails are open daily from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Spring Valley is a refuge of 135 acres of fields, forests, marshes and streams. Spring Valley also features over three miles of handicapped-accessible hiking trails, Bison’s Bluff Nature Playground, and an 1880s living history farm. PLEASE NOTE: dogs, bikes, smoking, and collecting are NOT permitted.
